Rep Amodei (R-NV-02) Voting Record Questioned

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – For Our Future Nevada held a digital town hall called “Meet Mark!” where participants discuss Rep. Mark Amodei’s (NV-02) record on voting against legislation that supports Nevada families and the future of the state, including policies to address climate change, strengthen voting rights, expand access to health care, and most recently, his vote against the American Rescue Plan, which has provided historic relief to Nevada families through direct investments via stimulus checks, an expanded child tax credit, extended unemployment insurance, lower healthcare premiums and support for small businesses. A video recording can be found here.

“Congressman Amodei’s record has proven that he is no champion of working families,” Gariety Pruitt, Director of For Our Future Nevada said. “With major legislative packages up for consideration in Congress that deliver major investments in clean energy, infrastructure, health care and additional support to families and small businesses, we need leadership that demonstrates commitment to improving the lives of Nevada families. Congressman Amodei must be held accountable for his votes that imperil the future of our state and our people, and we urge him to prioritize working on behalf of Nevadans over special interests.”###
