WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), released the following statement commemorating Memorial Day, which will take place on Monday, May 27, 2019.

“Memorial Day is a time to honor our fallen heroes in Nevada and across the country, and to remember that we owe our freedoms to the sacrifices of those who have given their lives to protect us,” said Senator Rosen. “As we come together to honor their selflessness and their inspiring dedication to our country, let’s commemorate their memory as members of our families and as model citizens in our communities. Let us reflect, remember, and give thanks to all those who have given so much for our nation’s values, our security, and our people. We cannot forget that our freedom has a steep cost, and we must never take it for granted.”
